At fourteen months, Peter is beginning to get the hang of things now. Like eating.

"You think this is a mess?"

"This is a mess."

And drinking.

Peter's favorite word is "car" (pronounced cah, like the British). He likes zooming his pull-back toy cars across the living room table. He likes the cars in parking lots. He likes the car on his foam building blocks. Did you notice that the cup he was drinking out of has cars on it?

Peter's not such a big fan of the painter's tape we used when doing the border in his room.

But, most surprisingly, Peter is into reading. Really into reading. He'll go over to his basket of books, pull them out one by one, and look at each page.

He and Mama share this love of books, whether they're reading a book together...

...or just hanging out while reading their own books.
