On thansgiving, we visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium, reputed to be one of the best aquariums in the country. We had a great time.

We ate at the Aquarium's cafeteria, which was so crowded that we almost didn't find anywhere to sit to eat. We ended up sharing the table with another pair of parents and their baby. Peter was very hungry by the time we actually sat down to eat!

We saw all sorts of amazing and strange things that live in the water.

Peter liked the area where you could touch things like starfish and seaweed.

Peter also really liked a tunnel where a big gush of water would pour down the outside every 30 seconds. He may look concerned in these pictures, but every time it would finish, he would clap his hands together and say, "again! again!"

We saw an exhibit on otters and saw the otters playing in the water.

In the otter area, there was a slide as part of an exhibit on otter playfulness. Peter declared that he would fit in as an otter, and went down the slide seven or eight times in a row.

Peter liked climbing outside and chasing the pigeons.

On the way back to the car, we passed some construction equipment, which was almost as exciting as the otters. Peter wanted his picture taken with the cherry picker ("che-picker!").
